1980: B&V is founded
Dr. Giancarlo Buzzonetti and Dr. Gianfranco Vitale found B&V in Parma, Italy.

1993: A new plant in Gattatico
B&V moves to a new, modern factory in Gattatico, 10 km from Parma, still our head office and main production site.

1995–2011: International growth
B&V becomes a shareholder in other agar producers in Morocco, Spain, Portugal and Indonesia.

2017: Hai Phong, Vietnam
We open our Hai Phong site to coordinate seaweed sourcing and the initial steps of agar extraction in Southeast Asia.

Today: A complete hydrocolloid portfolio
From our roots in agar, our range now includes carrageenan, BIVI stabilizing systems and natural gums. Our Gattatico site is being renewed for the next chapter.
